From Betrayal to Breakthrough: How Omez Beauty Is Redefining Haircare for Black Women Worldwide

At Omez Beauty, we don’t just sell hair products, we build legacy. But behind every successful brand is a journey of grit, grace, and growth.

From day one, Omez Beauty has been rooted in purpose. Founded by Victoria Ometere Abraham, a Nigerian woman from Kogi State, the goal was clear: to create premium African haircare products that preserve cultural heritage, uplift the Black community, and restore confidence for women of color especially those with 4C and natural hair textures. However, success rarely comes without challenges.

When Setbacks Knock, We Show Up Louder

In 2023, we faced a major betrayal. A former staff member on our marketing team worked with us for over a year, only to later use confidential materials and strategies to create his own brand. He copied almost every word from our website, attempted to private-label our formulas, and even tried to trademark our brand name Omez Beauty—to shut us out of our own business.

Yes, it was wild. And yes, it failed.

Every move made to destroy what we built was blocked. Because Omez Beauty isn’t just a brand, it’s a calling.

We kept showing up, we kept improving, and in March 2025, we officially secured the registration and ownership of the name Omez Beauty Products. That name is ours, legally and spiritually.

Say No to Fakes

Please note: We are not on Amazon.

Any product claiming to be from Omez Beauty on that platform is fake. So are the imitation Chebe products being marketed by brands that are not Black-owned or whose founders you never see.

If the founder isn’t someone who looks like you, speaks to your struggles, and stands boldly in front of the brand, it’s not us.You’ll always find us at our only official store: omezbeautyproducts.com

Why We Do This

Omez was born out of a mission to restore hair and dignity for women of African descent. Whether it’s dryness, shedding, or the frustration of finding products that truly understand 4C hair, we exist to solve real problems with real ingredients that work.

More than anything, we believe in giving back. Omez is built to serve, uplift, and empower Black women across the globe.

 The Heart of Our Mission

At Omez Beauty, our mission is more than just creating hair products, it’s about restoring confidence, honoring heritage, and helping Black women reconnect with their crowns in the most authentic way possible. We’re not just here to sell; we’re here to heal, inspire, and empower.

Our brand was born out of a deep need in the market. Too many products labeled “natural” or “Black hair-friendly” are developed without true understanding or respect for the complexity of our hair. Victoria Ometere Abraham, our founder, knew this struggle firsthand. As a woman with 4C hair, she spent years searching for products that could deliver real moisture, strength, and growth without harmful chemicals or unrealistic promises. That frustration became fuel.

Omez Beauty is rooted in the African legacy of botanical wellness. Our formulas are created with the traditional wisdom of ingredients like Chebe powder, shea butter, and African herbs blended with modern science to deliver results that speak for themselves. Every product is carefully crafted, not mass-produced without intention. But beyond the formulas, our mission is personal.

We want every Black woman, from Lagos, to London  to Los Angeles, to feel proud of her hair whether it’s in locs, twists, afros, wigs, or relaxed. We believe hair is spiritual, political, cultural and deeply personal. That’s why we advocate for choice, not conformity.

We are also committed to economic empowerment. From hiring African artisans and manufacturers to opening up wholesale opportunities for stylists, salon owners, and  retailers, we’re building a system that circulates wealth within our own communities. And most importantly, we’re a brand that listens.

Every review, every story, every concern from our customers is taken to heart. You’re not just buyers; you’re the heartbeat of this brand. That’s why, even after scaling, we remain deeply connected to our roots and to you.

Omez Beauty exists to be a safe space for women of color, a reminder that you are enough, your texture is perfect, and your story deserves to be seen and celebrated. Our mission is to make sure no woman with 4C or natural hair ever feels invisible again.

FInal Note from Our Founder

To anyone who’s ever been underestimated, overlooked, or told their dreams were too much, I see you. Omez is proof that you don’t have to water down your light. Speak up. Build boldly. And never let bullies win.

With love,

Victoria Ometere Abraham
